Description

Probably Helford’s most iconic cottage, with a fabulous west-facing creekside terrace running the length of the property, with steps down to the water, and river views from every room. There is also one kayak available for guests to use.

The entrance porch of Pear Tree Cottage leads straight into the dining room with farmhouse table and chairs, and a beautiful, warm hand-built oak kitchen including dishwasher and washer/dryer. From here, steep open tread stairs lead up to two pretty bedrooms; one kingsize bedroom with a 5’ bed and two twin bedrooms, with a newly fitted bathroom between the two rooms.

Beyond the dining area is the newly extended living room, with comfy sofas and views out onto the patio and across the creek through beautiful arched windows. A second staircase from the living room climbs up into the new double bedroom with spacious landing area and en-suite shower room.

Outside, there is an outhouse with a freezer, and the famous terrace, with garden furniture and BBQ to make the most of the unique position that Pear Tree Cottage occupies on the water’s edge.

Kitchen/Diner: Electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, dining table and chairs, woodburner.
Sitting Room: TV/DVD player, beautiful arched windows look across the terrace and creek.

FIRST FLOOR:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize bed (5’), bedside tables, chest of drawers, river views. En-Suite: Bath with handheld shower, basin, w.c.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3’), bedside tables, river views.
Bedroom 3: Twin beds (3’), bedside tables, river views.
Bathroom: Bath with handheld shower, basin, w.c.
Study: Desk and chair.

GARDEN AND PARKING: Waterside terrace with steps down to the water. Includes barbecue, teak table and chairs and one kayak available for guests to use. There is parking for two cars beside the cottage.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Power and Heat: Electricity and heating included in the rent.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided, please bring your own beach towels.
Shop: 0.1 miles. Pub: 0.1 miles.

NOTES: No smoking. No pets. WiFi provided. Mobile phone reception varies. Please be that aware Pear Tree Cottage has very steep stairs and is unsuitable for under-threes.
