Vaulted ceilings with exposed rafters are all part of the charm of this 300-year-old cottage, located on the quiet sought-after scenic cliffside of Porthleven. Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
Lovely cottage in an excellent location. Mrs Catherine Perfect - 26th August 2019
Lovely cottage, we enjoyed our stay very much and will use this company again when we book our next break in Cornwall or any other location here in England. Very reliable, we feel we can trust that our next stay in your accommodation will be just as good. Thank you.Mrs Lydia Vance - 25th July 2019

Wow!! What a beautiful cottage and a beautiful area. The cottage was so well equipped, you have thought of everything. A special day spent at the Minnack Theatre highly recommended. Also recommend a short walk to Loe Bar beach. Weather - well, four seasons in one week!! Thank you so much.Jonathan and Kate, Nottingham
We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We found the cottage to be very welcoming and cozy and would definitely come back! Lovely coastal walks and the friendly atmosphere in Porthleven made it a relaxing and memorable holiday.Kate and Kieran, Bournemouth
Had a great week. Weather good, the cottage lovely. We had some great meals at Kota and Atlantic. The walk to Loe Bar was good and we saw some seals on the way. Wish we had another weekThe Moaks family, Derbyshire
Our third stay at Ebenezer..... we just love it!! Had a fantastic week visiting our favorite spots, a chilly, windy week with some sunshine (February holiday), just perfect for wintery walks by the coast. We loved returning to the cottage with log burner to warm us up! Thanks for a lovely stay - it feels like 'home from home'! - we will be back soon!Steve and Sarah, Plymouth
We have had a great week. The surf and body boarding at Pra Sands was excellent for the kids (and adults!) The costal walks and rock pools were great on overcast days. This is the second year we have been to Porthleven and we're glad we returned. The Kota restaurant was excellent, but book early. We took a day trip to the Isles of Scilly and had the perfect day with excellent weather biking on St Mary's and the bikes are cheap to hire too.Graham, Nikki and family, Essex
We've had a wonderful, relaxing holiday here at Ebenezer Cottage which offers unique, comfortable accommodation that is close to the beach and shops. We have enjoyed good food at The Atlantic, Kota Restaurant, Sea Drift on Fore St and from the local bakery and the fish and chip shop on Fore St. We really love Porthleven and the cottage has provided us a very good base to continue our explorations of this beautiful coast line. Many many thanks.Brian and Valerie Overton, Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire
A great week in Porthleven the cottage was well equipped. Internet and Sky a definite plus for adults and kids. Owners very helpful when we had to contact them. Can recommend Praa Sands for a beach trip (very sandy and good waves for body boarding). Chysauster ancient celtic village also very interesting. A good holiday for everyone, thank you!The Hardie family
