Mousehole (Pronounced 'Mowzel')
![]() One of the best preserved and most picturesque villages in Cornwall if not in Britain. When you see a picture of Mousehole you could be excused for thinking it was a film set created for a historical drama. The granite cottages clustered around the harbour with lichen covered roofs look just too good to be true. Mousehole is no tourist trap though- it's a real community of Cornish people and lively all year round with restaurants, pubs and cafes to compliment the stunning location. Stone paved narrow alleys hung with plants remind you of a mediterranean village and all streets lead down to the granite ehclosed harbour with just a narrow gap to the sea which is closed with timbers in the winter Parking in MouseholeMousehole was designed long before the car was invented so the only sensible option is to park in one of the car parks (£2 a day) and walk in. Of Course if you are staying at Dolphin Rise or Greta's Cottage, our fabulous properties above the town you will have your own parking. Mousehole BeachThere are 2 small but very safe enclosed sandy beaches within the Harbour ideal for families with small children. | |||||
