Like all decent people I frowned when the bed & breakfast owners were in court trying to defend their right to discriminate against gay couples, and cheered when the court made the right decision. It certainly wasn't the impression of Cornish hospitality that we would want the world to see. Then a friend pointed out that buried in our terms was a reference to not accommodating single sex groups aimed at stag and hen parties. I realised with horror that this could be misinterpreted!
We've changed the wording and let me make it clear that if you are a same sex couple you are absolutely welcome in any of our cottages and we will go out of our way to make sure you have a great holiday. It should go without saying that we offer gay friendly cottages and we'd love to see you in Porthleven.
