Accommodation DetailsEbenezer Cottage has been restored using traditional lime rendering as it would have had when it was first built.
This finish coped with the Cornish climate for centuries by 'breathing' so damp is not trapped in the wall. The mottled effect you see inside and out is a feature of this traditional finish. The exposed rafters in the main upstairs living/dining room/kitchen have given the room a light and airy feel, enhanced by the natural finish of the lime rendered walls. This reversed level open plan cottage is an ideal base for storm watching in Porthleven during the winter with sheltered views from the roof terrace and inside a cosy woodburner for those winter nights. Parking is possible outside the cottage. Ebenezer Cottage was built over 300 years ago. The name Ebenezer can conjure thoughts of Ebenezer Scrooge in the 'Christmas Carol'; however we believe it to be named from the Hebrew meaning of 'stone of help'. The cottage is fitted with all modern conveniences that we have become accustomed to including a dishwasher, storage heating, Sky+ Full HD Package, TV, Broadband, iPod dock, CD and DVD player, washer dryer as well as more traditional elements like the wood burner.
