Accommodation Details
Ebenezer Cottage has been restored using traditional lime rendering as it would have had when it was first built. This finish coped with the Cornish climate for centuries by 'breathing' so damp is not trapped in the wall. The mottled effect you see inside and out is a feature of this traditional finish. It's Not Damp!Download Leaflet About Traditional Cornish Lime
This charming cottage has been newly renovated to give reverse level accommodation. The exposed rafters in the main upstairs living/dining room/kitchen have given the room a light and airy feel, enhanced by the natural finish of the lime rendered walls.
The ground floor has one kingsize bedroom and one twin bedroom, together with the bathroom (bath with shower over). Upstairs is open plan with french doors leading onto a large south-facing balcony with some sea views.
This reversed level open plan cottage is an ideal base for storm watching in Porthleven during the winter with sheltered views from the roof terrace and inside a cosy woodburner for those winter nights.
Parking is possible outside the cottage.
Ebenezer Cottage was built over 300 years ago. The name Ebenezer can conjure thoughts of Ebenezer Scrooge in the 'Christmas Carol'; however we believe it to be named from the Hebrew meaning of 'stone of help'.
The cottage is fitted with all modern conveniences that we have become accustomed to including a dishwasher, storage heating, Sky+ Full HD Package, TV, Broadband, iPod dock, CD and DVD player, washer dryer as well as more traditional elements like the wood burner.

Visitors Comments "The cottage is lovely and very well equipped - there was nothing we needed that wasn't here. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the balcony eating our breakfast, look at the sea. After several years holidaying in Cornwall, this is definately the nicest accommodation we've stayed in." David & Helen, Southampton
"A wonderful cottage - we have had a very enjoyable time staying here, thank you so very much. We will have fond memories of our holiday." Shane & Julie, Gloucestershire"This is such a beautiful house. We loved the beach and harbour (especially Loe Bar). We will recommend it to all our friends! It was a great holiday and we just don't want to go home." Ian & Meryl, Swindon "A beautiful, beautiful cottage - just what was needed for a relaxing holiday in wonderful Cornwall. Porthleven lived up to it's stormy reputation during our stay - but the cottage provided the perfect haven to watch it from. We shall certainly be back!" Jon & Becky, West Didsbury"The pictures of the cottage on the net looked great but were even better in reality. What a lovely clean and charming cottage, everything was provided that you would expect in your own home and more. The beach and harbour is within walking distance with great pubs and bakeries for a great cornish pastie. Having such a lovely cottage definately made our holiday when the weather wasn't great." Des & Tracey, Essex"As first impressions go this cottage was everything we were promised. The cottage is certainly one we would love to stay in again. It more than made our stay pleasurable."
