At the heart of the West Dorset Nature Reserve
This beautiful five bedroom stone and slate cottage is located in the heart of one of the largest Nature Reserves in beautiful West Dorset with views across part of the Nature Reserve from the conservatory and decking.
Built in the 1700's and refurbished in 2007 the spacious accommodation offers a conservatory, kitchen, lounge with dining area and cosy log burner. The cottage has 5 Bedrooms; 2 Single and 2 Twin rooms all with ensuite facilities on the first floor. There is also a double bedroom and shower room on the ground floor which means the cottage is suitable for disabled visitors.
There is ample parking for at least six cars.
All bed linen, towels, electric and oil central heating is included.
The kitchen has been stocked with an assortment of utensils and cookware so that you can cook as if you were at home. But if you don't feel like cooking there are pubs/restaurants within a few miles.
We have tried to add extras to this cottage to make it feel home from home including a TV , DVD player, Wi-Fi, a small library, games, etc.
Bridport is approximately 10 miles away with its famous Saturday market, whilst Dorset's County town of Dorchester is approximately 12 miles away as is Weymouth which has the 2012 Olympic Sailing facilities. Each has many shops, restaurants and places of interest to visit. Finally of course you are not far from the stunning Jurassic Coast.
There is a village shop, Post office and Newsagent in nearby Maiden Newton just under 4 miles away and providing a good stock of items. There is also a train station at Maiden Newton giving easy rail access to Bath, Bristol, Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole, Bournemouth etc.
Ideally situated for walking and cycling with many footpaths, visitor attractions such as the Jurassic Coast, Isle of Purbeck, golfing, fishing, Clay pigeon Shooting and Go-Karting close by. Walk straight from the cottage and into the Nature Reserve, without having to use the car. The Cottage is very close to the Kingcombe Centre which offers a wide variety of courses and walks. The Centre also has a small café with home cooked lunches and afternoon teas.
