About Marazion
A lovely beach holiday destination, Marazion is located on the shores of Mount's Bay, one of the world's most beautiful bays, and is two miles east of Penzance. The town has many small local shops for its visitors to browse.
Perhaps the oldest charted town in Cornwall, Marazion has a lot of history behind it. The town was once home of a historic market. The name of the town was originally Marghas Byghan, though the name changed to Marazion over time.
Marazion has an amazing beach that stretches for a mile. This beach is mostly sandy and ideal for families. The beach has a superb view of St. Michael's Mount, an iconic landmark of Cornwall. The bay is home to windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing.
As well as all of this, Marazion is the perfect place to travel to for a Cornish holiday, due to the much improved A30 being very close by.
